No. While TPI is excellent for golfers recovering from injury, it is equally effective for injury prevention, performance enhancement, and longevity in the sport.
A TPI Assessment is golf-specific and directly links movement findings to swing characteristics. It goes beyond general rehab to evaluate rotation, separation, balance, and power generation specific to the golf swing.
In most cases, yes. The first portion ( In-Office) of our assessment does not require it but the second portion (On-Site at course or Simulator) does.
Most TPI Assessments take 60–75 minutes, allowing time for screening, interpretation, and discussion of next steps.

No, but collaboration often leads to the best results. TPI provides acommon language between physical therapists and golf coaches when appropriate.
TPI Assessments are typically considered a performance service and are not covered by insurance. If injury-related physical therapy is needed, insurance options may apply—our team can help guide you with this.
