HELPING WOMEN AND CHILDREN THROUGH SPECIALIZED
PHYSICAL THERAPY CARE
Who We Help

-
Many women experience pelvic floor issues at some point in their lives—whether it’s urinary leakage, pelvic pressure, pain during movement or intimacy, or trouble returning to activities they once enjoyed. These challenges are common, but they’re not something you have to live with. Our pelvic health therapists provide one-on-one, private care in a supportive setting where you can feel heard and respected. Whether your symptoms are new or have been present for years, we’re here to help you feel more comfortable, confident, and in control of your body again.

Pelvic health issues in children are more common than many people realize—and they’re nothing to be embarrassed about. We work with kids who are experiencing challenges like bedwetting, constipation, urinary urgency, or accidents during the day. These issues can affect a child’s confidence, comfort, and even participation in school or sports. Our pediatric pelvic health specialists take a gentle, age-appropriate approach to care, creating a safe and supportive environment where your child can feel at ease. We partner closely with parents and caregivers to create a plan that fits your child’s needs and helps them feel better—inside and out.

What To Expect
We understand that seeking care for pelvic health issues—especially for yourself or your child—can feel personal or even intimidating. That’s why we prioritize creating a respectful, private, and supportive environment from the very first visit.

Initial Evaluation
Your first appointment will begin with a one-on-one conversation with your licensed physical therapist. For adults, this includes a thorough review of your symptoms, medical history, daily habits, and goals. For children, we include the parent or caregiver in the process, making sure the child feels safe, understood, and at ease. We explain everything in age-appropriate language.
Depending on your comfort level (or your child’s), we may perform a physical assessment to look at posture, movement, strength, and coordination. For some women, this may include an external or internal pelvic floor muscle exam, but only with full consent. For children, all assessments are external and gentle, focusing on movement patterns, breathing, and how the body responds during certain activities.
Treatment Plan
After the evaluation, your therapist will create a personalized care plan designed around your specific needs and goals. This plan may include:
-
Guided exercises to improve pelvic floor coordination and strength
-
Strategies for bowel and bladder retraining
-
Breathing and posture techniques
-
Education on daily habits and toileting strategies
-
Parent coaching and involvement (for pediatric care)
